A 30-year-old pedicab driver died after having been stabbed and then shot by a still unidentified suspect early yesterday morning in Tondo, Manila.

SP02 Glenzor Antonio Vallejo of the Manila Police District-homicide section said the killing took place at around 2 a.m. at the corner of Recto Avenue  and Fulgeras Streets in Divisoria, Tondo, Manila.

Witness Victorino Navarette told the police that he had just borrowed the victim’s pedicab so he could go shopping in Divisoria, when a shot rang out.

It was also Navarette who reported to the victim’s family what had happened to him.
