Latest News Philippines: 3 new PNP generals sworn in – Journal.com.ph:

PHILIPPINE National Police chief, Director General Nicanor A. Bartolome yesterday swore into office three newly-promoted one-star police generals: Chief Superintendents Rogelio M. Damazo, Ismael P. Lapira and Noel G. Constantino.

Damazo and Lapira are both members of Philippine Military Academy Class 1982 while Constantino is from PMA Class 1984. Damazo, who will retire on October 29, 2014, is currently the director of the PNP Information and Technology Management Center.

Lapira, who marked his 55th birthday yesterday, is head of the PNP Regional Internal Affairs 4-A which has supervision over the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) region.

Currently the Executive Officer of the PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management, the 49-year-old Constantino became the third member of PMA Class 1984 to become a star-rank officer.

The first two are PNP Firearms and Explosives Office director, Chief Supt. Raul D. Petrasanta and PNP spokesman, Chief Supt. Generoso R. Cerbo Jr.
