Latest News Philippines: Bulacan police plant 800 trees in Malolos – Journal.com.ph:

MALOLOS City — As a response to the Philippine National Police (PNP) project “Pulis Makakalikasan: 10 Milyong Puno Pamana Sa Kalikasan,” Bulacan Police Provincial Office personnel conducted a tree planting activity in coordination with Holcim Philippines in Bgy. Balite here early Tuesday morning.

Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Fernando Mendez Jr., said his men led by Supt. Miguel Atienza, Police Community Relations Branch chief; Chief Insp. Romeo Maglanque, chief, PHRDB; Supt. Julius Cesar Domingo, chief, PIDMB; with the support of LBC, Department of Environment  and Natural Resources-Malolos and Bgy. Balite village chief Marcial Custodio planted 800 trees such as Narra, Mahogany and Golden Shower.

The said activity was also joined by personnel of Redentor Medina, area head of LBC Bulacan, Michael dela Cruz, LBC Bulacan team leader and Emma Acosta, nursery-in charge of DENR Malolos

According to Mendez, the activity is under the LOI 42/09: Project TREEs, the PNP shall plant 10 million trees from February 1, 2012 to February 18, 2013 wherein six trees per month shall be planted by every PNP personnel
