3p.m. — St. Joseph’s vs. Kalayaan

WORLD Citi College and Asian College dispute the solo lead today in the 2013 Metro Manila Athletic Conference (MMAC) at the WCC gym in Anonas Quezon City.

Game time is 1:30 p.m. with the Vikings of coach Jhune Golosinda and the Sharks of coach Erick Clemente gunning for a third straight win and  the solo lead in this six-team tournament sponsored by Green Cloud Software, Tanacle Travel  and Tours, Ani Kalikasan Save the Environment Movement and Silverworks

St.Paul’s College-Quezon City seeks its second straight win when it meets Siena College-Quezon City in the curtainraiser at 12 noon.

St.Joseph’s College battles Kalayaan College in the third game for the day at 3 p.m.

World Citi defeated Siena, 109-68, and  Kalayaan College, 133-64, while Asian College beat St. Joseph, 76-65, and Siena, 91-67, to  take the headstart with two  victories  in  as  many outings.

St. Paul’s of coach Jhong Espinas brought down St. Joseph’s of  coach Nino Mayig-a, 57-55, in its debut.

The tournament serves as a pre-season tournament for the newly-established league, headed by president Erick Clemente.
